(AsiaGameHub) –   BetMGM is parting ways with its chief marketing officer, Casey Hurbis, after a little over a year. Hurbis expressed satisfaction with the progress made during his tenure and described it as a “high-velocity chapter” in his career.

Hurbis Helped BetMGM Stay Ahead of the Curve

Hurbis joined MGM in December 2024. As chief marketing officer, he applied his extensive industry knowledge to help the brand stand out from competitors. He supported several initiatives, including the launch of the “Make It Legendary” campaign last fall.

For context, Make It Legendary featured renowned actor Jon Hamm, allowing BetMGM to redefine its brand identity. The campaign was produced by Highdive.

During his time as CMO, Hurbis also brought on board various former athletes as brand ambassadors, significantly boosting BetMGM’s visibility.

Prior to joining BetMGM, Hurbis held a similar role at Rocket Mortgage. He also served as a marketing committee member for the 2024 NFL Draft. Earlier in his career, Hurbis worked in multiple positions at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, following a 17-year period at BBDO.

Currently, Hurbis serves on the boards of several notable organizations, including Nano Magic, Adweek, Adcraft Detroit, Google, and Brand Innovators, among others.

The End of a High-Velocity Chapter

Regarding his departure, Hurbis referred to his time at BetMGM as a “high-velocity chapter.” He emphasized that despite the short duration, the experience was highly productive.

We didn’t just move the needle; we enjoyed BetMGM’s best year ever, and we redefined the brand playbook.

Hurbis highlighted the company’s CRM transformation and AI integrations as key achievements during his time as BetMGM CMO. He also praised the Make It Legendary campaign, describing it as a “proof of concept” for what can be achieved when companies pursue bold strategies.

As of now, BetMGM has not announced a successor for Hurbis.

A few weeks ago, BetMGM officially discontinued credit card usage for its sports betting and online casino products. Effective March 31, the company no longer accepts transactions funded by credit cards.
