(AsiaGameHub) – Flutter Entertainment, a prominent company in online betting and iGaming, has announced that Amy Howe has stepped down as the chief executive officer of FanDuel. In an official statement, Flutter CEO Peter Jackson indicated that the timing was appropriate for new leadership.
Genetski Steps in as CEO as Howe Steps Down
Flutter confirmed on May 6 that Amy Howe would no longer be leading its FanDuel brand, marking her departure from the company. Howe joined the Flutter organization in 2021 and was instrumental in the expansion of its FanDuel brand.
Flutter further stated that Christian Genetski, who currently holds the position of president at FanDuel, has been appointed as her successor. His responsibilities will include sustaining the momentum of the FanDuel brand and continuing to implement its growth strategy.
According to the announcement, Genetski joined FanDuel in 2015, giving him extensive knowledge of the business. In his role as president, he oversees the company’s corporate strategy, business development, strategic partnerships, and regulatory affairs.
Genetski also played a significant role in the legalization of sports betting across the US and the subsequent expansion of FanDuel in the region.
Additionally, Flutter revealed that Dan Taylor, currently the CEO of Flutter’s international division, has been appointed as president of Flutter Entertainment, in addition to his existing duties. This newly created position recognizes Taylor’s substantial contributions to the group. The company noted that the newly appointed president will collaborate closely with Flutter’s CEO, Peter Jackson, to drive further improvements.
The Right Moment for New Leadership
CEO Jackson commented on the leadership changes, stating that his team believed it was the “right moment” for new leadership at FanDuel. He expressed gratitude to Howe for her contributions, which coincided with a strong period for the brand, and wished her future success.
Meanwhile, Jackson conveyed his enthusiasm for welcoming Genetski as the new CEO, praising his proven track record and deep understanding of the market. Jackson expressed anticipation for the achievements of Genetski and Taylor working together.
Howe shared her thoughts on her departure, stating that she had the honor of leading FanDuel for five years and felt immense pride in the company’s current standing.
Together, we have established a clear leadership position in the market, strengthened our product and brand, and built strong foundations for future growth. With the business well-positioned for what comes next, I believe this is the right moment to hand over to new leadership to build on that progress and capture the opportunities ahead.
